There are no union health centers in Shimanto UP. As the erstwhile Jibannagar Union was upgraded to Pariyad Municipality, the Shimanto union was formed with the occupied villages. This Prashant Union Health Center has not been established.
No registered (MBBS) doctor is working in Shimanto union health center. Here treatment is given by a paramedic doctor. As a result, the people of the area are deprived of quality medical care.
There is only one doctor in the Shimanto union.
